A body has been found in the search for the long-term partner of Mick Jagger’s granddaughter after a week-long search. Alexander Key, 37, was last seen in Boscastle, Cornwall, but vanished after a trip to the pub on Friday, January 23.
The chef was reported missing to Devon and Cornwall Police the following evening, sparking an urgent public appeal from the force and Mick Jagger’s family. But tragically police pulled a man’s body from the sea yesterday afternoon.
While formal identification is yet to take place, Cornwall Police believe it is the body of Alexander. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner, the force said.

Cops said they were called around 6.30pm on Saturday, January 31, after the body of a man was discovered in the sea at Bude. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Mr Key’s family has thanked police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who assisted in the search for him. They have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
Alexander – the long-term partner of rock legend Mick’s granddaughter Assisi, 33, with whom he shares two children – was last seen in the local pub at 2.20pm on Friday, January 23. CCTV footage showed Alexander leaving The Cobweb Inn.

Assisi’s mother – jewellery designer Jade Jagger, 54 – took to social media to share the police appeal with her followers, posting images of Alexander the following Monday. Pictures showed him wearing a colourful jacket while walking down the street.
The Cobweb Inn later released pictures of Alexander at the bar and outside the venue on Friday afternoon.
The post urged anyone who may have spoken with him or seen him to let the police now, adding that “his family are so worried”.

The following day, new CCTV footage was released of Alexander walking past the Wellington Pub in the direction of Boscastle Harbour towards the River Valency.
Assisi is the eldest grandchild of Rolling Stones frontman Mick, 82, and the daughter of Jade and her former partner, the artist Piers Jackson. Assisi and Alexander lived together in Cornwall, with their two young daughters, Ezra, 11, and Romy, six.
Alexander co-owned The Rocket Store, a popular seafood restaurant in Boscastle, with head chef Freddie Woodruff. The restaurant is known for using fresh ingredients, including fish caught daily by Alexander’s father and meat from their family farm.
