Duchess of York offered convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein Buckingham Palace tours in emails released by US Department of Justice, six months after his release from prison
Newly released documents from the US Department of Justice reveal that Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, proposed marriage to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in an email sent six months after his release from prison. The email, dated January 2010, was presented without context.
Epstein had been freed from Palm Beach County Jail in July 2009 after serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence for soliciting sex from underage girls.
In her message to Epstein, Fergie wrote: “You are a legend. I really don’t have the words to describe, my love, gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.”
Other disclosed messages suggest that Fergie offered Epstein and his associates VIP tours of Buckingham Palace. While Epstein was still incarcerated, she responded to his request for a “VIP tour” or “access to something special” in London for his lawyer Alan Dershowitz’s daughter by saying, “I can organise anything”.
It remains unclear whether these plans materialised, reports the Express.
These documents provide further insight into the extent of the former Duchess of York’s ongoing communication with Epstein following his 2008 conviction.
She also appears to have thanked Jeffrey Epstein for “being the brother I have always wished for” in an email exchange released by the US Department of Justice. The exchange, sent on August 3, 2009, is between Epstein and someone referred to just as “Sarah”, and was among more than three million documents published by the DOJ on Friday relating to the disgraced paedophile financier.
The message, which doesn’t indicate any wrongdoing, reads: “Thank you so much Jeffrey. I had the best discussion with Target on Friday, and they want desperately the whole Mothers Army project. They also want to get behind my entire Sarah Ferguson brand, books etc.
“Tommy Hilfiger wants to build my entire apparel, Fragrance etc etc brand, and sell it on QVC. NBC want my Mothers Army TV Show. Ben Silverman wants it.
“In just one week, after your lunch, it seems the energy has lifted. I have never been more touched by a friends kindness than your compliment to me infront of my girls. Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for.”
