Tate McRae gave her ex-boyfriend a glimpse at what he’s missing while attending a star-studded Grammys after-party in Los Angeles on Sunday evening.

The Canadian singer looked stunning in a low-cut black latex dress as she joined guests at Bar Marmont, where Charli XCX, Saint Laurent and W magazine were hosting as post-ceremony celebration.

McRae, 22, greeted onlookers with a smile as she made her way into the Sunset Boulevard venue  – but her night was almost soured by the appearance of her ex-boyfriend, The Kid Laroi

The Australian rapper, real name Charlton Howard, was accompanied by new girlfriend Sophie HM while attending the same party, just days after confirming his new romance.

The 22-year old, whose relationship with McRae ended seven months ago, shared his first social media posts with director and producer Sophie during a trip to Melbourne for the Australian Open in January.

Meanwhile, McRae has been romantically linked with professional ice hockey player Jack Hughes since parting ways with Laroi last July.

The singer, an avid NHL fan, sparked rumours of a new romance after dining out with Hughes at an upscale restaurant in New York City’s West Village.

A source told Deuxmoi: ‘the entire restaurant was staring’ at the pop star as the athlete ‘seemed nervous, like was looking around a lot when they first sat down.’

McRae recently said she was overwhelmed by the scrutiny she faced after ending her year-long relationship with Laroi.

‘It was really scary and overwhelming, I would never talk that way, even about my friends’ lives,’ she told Rolling Stone magazine.

‘I didn’t realize how much it would affect me, the public knowing my private life – because no one knows the full story of anything, ever.

‘I also hate people painting a situation that’s worse than it is. But what I’ve had to realize is that he’s going to write songs and I’m going to write songs, and that’s our way of expressing ourselves.’

She added: ‘That’s our art, that’s our job. And once it’s out there, it’s not mine anymore.’

McRae, who released debut album I Used To Think I Could Fly in 2022, also said fame and attention has taken a toll on her over the last 12 months.

She said: ‘I don’t even recognize that person. I feel I’ve aged 10 years in the past year.’

McRae began dancing aged six attending Canada’s prestigious Alberta Ballet for 11 hours a day, filling her free time with competitions and galas.

On the side she took lessons in rhythmic gymnastics with ‘super-intense Russian coaches’ to improve her flexibility.

At age 13 she joined the cast of the 13th season of, coming in third place, making her the highest placing Canadian in the reality show’s history.

At the time she performed an impressive backwards walkover that prompted judge Paula Abdul to say: ‘You are a gift from God.’

In 2011 she launched a dance YouTube channel which saw her dance for fellow Canadian Justin Bieber’s 2016 Purpose world tour.

In 2017 she then pivoted to singing, posting original songs she had written to her YouTube channel.

Those videos helped McRae land a recording contract with RCA Records in 2019.
