Birmingham-native and award-winning adult performer Jasmine Jae has spilled the beans on how an office scandal led her to ditch her marketing career and pursue raunchy work full time
A multi award-winning star of the adult entertainment world has disclosed how a WhatsApp group centred around her risqué side hustle prompted her to pursue an X-rated career full-time. Jasmine Jae has opened up about what motivated her to abandon her mundane 9-5 role to capitalise on her sultry, unconventional skills.
During the 44-year-old’s stint in marketing, a WhatsApp group created by her workmates began doing the rounds throughout the office. The chat was awash with links and images of the steamy adult content she had appeared in – during her time off.
The shocking discovery sparked the model’s instinct to flee, as she resigned the following day to dedicate herself entirely to a fresh career path. “I got home from the office and I had a message saying, ‘There’s a whole WhatsApp group going around about you,'” said Jasmine, who boasts 590,000 Instagram followers @jasminejae. club.
“One of the lads in the office had obviously been watching adult content online and recognised me – it just spread like wildfire. That was on a Thursday; my manager was away at the time, so I decided not to go in on Friday.
“I received a hand-delivered letter from HR summoning me to a meeting on Monday. My acting manager, who was cool with what I was doing, let me know that I was essentially going to be sacked due to not getting permission for a second job.
“I just quit and never went back. It was a huge decision but I thought to myself I’m all in now – so I’ve got to make it a success.”
Jasmine has never regretted her decision and has now been a part of the adult industry for 14 years. Initially, she hadn’t envisioned herself in this profession, having prepared for a corporate role in marketing.
Born and raised in Birmingham, Jasmine received private education, attending an all-girls’ boarding school from the age of seven until 13. She excelled academically, earning a first-class honours degree in business management and marketing at university.
This led her down what she describes as the “dull” path of working for energy and insurance firms. Jasmine shared: “I got a first-class honours degree and from there I went into office jobs and marketing jobs.
“I was just doing the classic nine til five, it was very dull and very boring. The adult industry was not something I aspired to be part of or consciously thought about.
“It was a really random thing, I was at a house party, and I met a guy who everyone knows in the adult industry – legendary X-rated performer Keiran Lee. I was really intrigued, I’d never met a porn star before, so I was asking loads of questions and just finding out all about it.
“He said I had a great look and if it was something I wanted to try, he could help me get my first scene. Still to this day, I don’t know why I thought I’d try it, but I just went for it and I never looked back.”
