The iPhone 16e is said to deliver ‘powerful capabilities’ at a lower price.

An Apple iPhone has dropped to its lowest price ever as one retailer slashes more than £110 off the cost. It’s currently on offer at Sky Mobile, where there’s a £114 reduction on Apple’s iPhone 16e.

The handset is now available for £14 per month, reduced from the standard £18, which Sky claims is its ‘lowest ever price’. Shoppers snapping up this 36-month contract will end up paying roughly 46p per day for the iPhone, which Apple touts as offering ‘powerful capabilities at a more affordable price’.

There’s a £12 upfront fee to get this deal, with customers also receiving a 100MB data allowance each month. Those needing more data can upgrade to bigger packages, such as 10GB for £10, or 50GB for £12.

Sky Mobile customers can also carry over their data for up to a year and switch their data package whenever they fancy. There’s also the choice to upgrade to a fresh phone after 24 months, but bear in mind that Sky’s prices ‘may change’ during the minimum term, including the usual April price hike, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, Currys-backed site Mobiles.co.uk has the iPhone 16e listed at £22.99 per month at £9 upfront, which includes 100GB as standard without any extras. However, purchasing the phone outright is typically the most cost-effective route, with Amazon now pricing it at £499 (was £599).

Sky Mobile is offering the iPhone 16e for its cheapest-ever price.

Apple unveiled its iPhone 16e in February 2025 as a budget-friendly alternative to the standard iPhone 16. Despite its more wallet-friendly price point, it packs premium features including Apple’s A18 chip, AI capabilities from Apple Intelligence and a 48MP Fusion camera.

There’s also a 6.1″ Super Retina XDR display, a battery offering up to 26 hours of video playback, and the ability to capture 4K video with Dolby Vision. The Mirror‘s Technology Editor Dave Snelling tried the iPhone 16e at launch and was impressed by its ‘premium design’.

“There’s no question that it’s a very nice device,” he said. “It gets a premium design covered in toughened Ceramic Shield glass and surrounded in aero-space grade aluminium.

“There’s a soft matte finish on the rear case that looks stylish and stops those mucky fingerprints from ruining the look. Under the hood is a supremely powerful A18 processor, which is not only blisteringly fast but also offers access to Apple Intelligence.

“Other features that have impressed us include a decent single-lens 48MP camera, very long battery life, and bonus extras such as SOS satellite text messaging and crash detection.”

Dave also pointed out some potential flaws of the iPhone 16e, adding: “It’s a good phone but it does lack upgrades such as Apple’s clever Dynamic Island notch, which transforms to show information as you use different apps and services, there’s no MagSafe charging and the Ceramic Shield glass isn’t the latest version found on Apple’s more expensive models.

“The single rear snapper isn’t as good as the other iPhone 16 models, and you don’t get the Camera Control shutter button, which is now found on its more expensive siblings. If those extras don’t bother you, then the iPhone 16e is worth considering, especially when you look at the deals available right now.”
