Primary schoolteacher, 61, caught in specific ‘granny’ content material by a colleague

A primary schoolteacher who had reportedly had sex on a popular adult content websites while posing as a ‘granny schoolteacher’ has been struck off.

Lyndi Corston, 61, appeared in explicit content available to the public which was also accessed behind a paywall.

A Teaching Regulation Agency (TRA) conduct panel heard how she created an account and appeared on an adult subscription website in 2014, which reportedly saw her appear nude.

Corston, who worked for Engage Education/Workwell Ltd of London, between January 2023 and January 2025 engaged in making sexually explicit videos on the internet.

She also admitted to appearing on adult content websites under the description of ‘granny schoolteacher’. Corston admitted unacceptable professional conduct which may bring the profession into disrepute.

Corston was an Early Years Foundation Stage teacher but from November 2022 she worked at Rye primary school in Sussex on a short term supply basis.

The TRA panel heard that while working at the school in September 2024 concerns were raised that she may have had an racy adult account. Her secret life was rumbled by push notification from the popular adult site being seen on her phone by a colleague.

Corsto admitted this and said the account was hers and it involved nudity but not sexual acts and it was not in her personal name. She was told to close the account and sign an enhanced code of conduct, which she did.

However, in January 2025, Engage Education was told she had been identified on a adult website engaging in sexual activity which led to further investigations.

She appeared in an explicit video involving sexual intercourse, which was available on the internet but behind a paywall.

Corston consented to the production of the video and willingly took part in it, the hearing was told.

The panel heard she ‘consistently and unequivocally accepted her actions as alleged’ and the panel found her guilty.

The panel said she had a right to a private life but this was not an unqualified right. She apologised for her actions and expressed regret.

The panel said: “Whilst conduct outside of the education setting, this was conduct that linked to the way she fulfilled her teaching role and could, potentially, have led to pupils being exposed to, or influenced by. the behaviour in a harmful way”.

Decision maker Stuart Blomfield said Corston is banned from teaching indefinitely but may ask for this to be lifted in two years time.
