The White House has issued a stunning response to the racist video shared on Donald Trump’s account, depicting the Obamas as apes.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed the video was from a “meme” which also had Trump as the “king of the jungle’ and it was based on The Lion King.
She said: “This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King. Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
The US president posted a minute-long video on his Truth Social account pushing wild claims that voting machines enabling fraud in the 2020 presidential election and at the end there were shocking clips, for about a second, which depicted the Obamas as apes.
The AI-generated figures are seen dancing in a jungle to “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”. Overlaying the clip is a watermark reading @XERIAS_X, an X account with 45,900 followers, which supports Trump.
