Kings Park Rangers player Saburi Olayinka Adeniji was taken to hospital on January 15 but sadly passed away yesterday (February 6).

The heartbreaking news was confirmed on social media by the club today (February 7). Even more heartbreak for Adeniji’s family as his wife and his daughter, 4, arrived in the UK from Nigeria just a day after he passed away.

“He fought so hard to still be here for when his family arrived. His wife and daughter unfortunately arrived this morning, a day late.
