Six Nations star Louis Rees-Zammit has returned to British shores after a brief stint in the NFL – and he’s brought more than memories back home with him.

He announced shortly afterwards that his new squeeze, 27-year-old Drew, would be joining him in the move. Sporting excellence runs strongly in her family – her brother currently represents Texas Tech University in American football, which may have helped her understand and support Louis throughout his brief spell in the NFL.

A new chapter in Wales

After linking up with the Bristol Bears, Rees-Zammit revealed that his girlfriend would be relocating permanently from Florida to Wales. “I took her to the Wales v Ireland game for the Six Nations,” he said when discussing their relationship.

“She really enjoyed it. She doesn’t have a clue what rugby is! When she saw that kind of environment, she really wanted to watch me play rugby. It’s something I can give her now, I can allow her to learn rugby, she’ll learn a lot from my family, the rules and the crowd. She’s really looking forward to it. It’s going to be a big change for her.
