Donald Trump slammed Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl half-time performance as a “slap in the face” to the United States as he vented his fury on Truth Social.

The US President took issue with the Puerto Rican artist’s involvement in the prestigious event, labelling it as “absolutely ridiculous.” The 79-year-old’s opinion didn’t soften during or after the show, which prominently featured tributes to Bad Bunny’s home country.

On his social media account, Trump posted: “The Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesn’t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.

“Nobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.

“This ‘Show’ is just a ‘slap in the face’ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day – including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!

“There is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they haven’t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD.”

He added: “And, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

It emerges that Trump wasn’t alone amongst Americans in taking umbrage with Bad Bunny’s interval performance, as Jake Paul also voiced his disapproval on social media before Super Bowl LX.

The YouTube star turned pugilist wrote on X: “Purposefully turning off the halftime show.

“Let’s rally together and show big corporations they can’t just do whatever they want without consequences (which equals viewership for them). You are their benefit.

“Realize you have power. Turn off this halftime. A fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America. I cannot support that.”

It comes as Bunny called upon numerous fellow stars and musicians during his spectacular interval showcase, with Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin accompanying the 31-year-old vocalist, while the likes of Jessica Alba, Cardi B and Pedro Pascal also made fleeting appearances.
