Jutta Leerdam will be looking to turn her Winter Olympics silver medal into gold at the Milano Cortina Games.
The Dutch speed skater, who’s engaged to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, managed to get to the second step of the podium in Beijing four years ago. She’s once again a medal contender this time around, despite almost missing out on qualifying.
Leerdam, 27, is taking part in her favoured 1000m event on Monday. She’ll then return to the track later this week for the 500m.
A seven-time world champion, she’s shot to stardom thanks to her prowess on the ice and her personal life off it. Over 5million followers keep up to date with her activities on Instagram.
Dating one of the world’s most recognisable stars naturally brings with it plenty of attention. But Leerdam has relished the extra pressure put on her, as Daily Star Sport takes a look at her rise to fame.
