Littler loved surprising locals and hailed the initiative for championing the role of pubs at the heart of local communities

Luke Littler stunned Lichfield locals with a surprise visit to a packed-out pub to host a once-in-a-lifetime darts night.

The two-time world champion, 19, appeared at The Feathers Inn on Monday to mark the winning moment of a new nationwide initiative from KP Nuts.

One lucky pub was given the chance to host Littler, who was recently crowned Winmau World Masters champion in Milton Keynes, for an exclusive night of darts with their local community.

And The Feathers Inn, a family-run pub at the heart of Lichfield, was randomly selected as the winner after beating hundreds of entries from across the country.

Littler loved surprising locals and hailed the initiative for championing the role of pubs at the heart of local communities.

He said: “Nights like this are what it’s all about. No-one expected me to walk in and it was a really great night.

“Ever since I’ve worked with KP they’ve had this idea – and this lucky pub has won the competition.

“The atmosphere was unreal – everyone was so welcoming and up for a game.

“KP Nuts have been brilliant at helping bring moments like this to life, and I loved meeting the locals and throwing a few darts with them!”

Known for its strong community spirit, live music nights and its very own darts team, The Feathers Inn provided the perfect backdrop for KP Nuts’ focus on celebrating the unique role pubs play in both community and culture.

On the night, Littler joined locals at the oche, played matches with the pub’s darts team and chatted with regulars – creating memories that will be talked about for years to come.

Tracey and Mike Kingston, owners of The Feathers Inn, said: “The pub simply erupted when Luke walked through the door.

“We have never seen our regulars look more stunned – the reaction from everyone was amazing!

“We’re delighted to have been randomly selected by KP Nuts and can’t thank them enough for creating a moment we will never forget.”

And after taking on Littler, Andy Matthews from The Feathers Inn darts team added: “I can’t believe we’ve just played against Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler. We’re so grateful to KP Nuts and Luke for putting this event on for us. For a little darts team in Lichfield to win this is unbelievable.

“The world champion walking into our local – everyone’s faces were a picture. It’s not something you get to do everyday!”

The event is part of KP Nuts’ wider commitment to celebrating the places where darts culture thrives, creating shared experiences that bring people together and championing the role of pubs at the heart of local communities.
