Luke Littler again had a disappointing evening at Premier League Darts – but he has revealed he had been battling illness before Antwerp
Luke Littler has admitted he’d been battling illness ahead of night two of Premier League Darts.
Littler, 19, took his first win of the 2026 edition in Antwerp as he beat Luke Humphries in the quarter-finals. However, he would then crash out to a resurgent Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals, who in turn would lose to Gerwyn Price in the final.
However, speaking after his loss, Littler admitted: “A bit of flu going on but this is darts, we’ve just got to get on with it. My game at the minute is going well, playing well. Last week didn’t go to plan but it’s a fresh week.

“Everyone knows, I’ve said it for the past two years, I’ve won both European tours in Belgium, get a Premier League here. The PDC have sorted it.”
Littler, alongside Humphries, has been told not to panic by Sky Sports Laura Turner after two disappointing weeks. Speaking on the channel she said: “I think that just is a testament to how tough this tournament is.
“One or two small slips, if you’re not feeling 100 per cent, anything can happen in these tournaments, and then you start thinking. They [Littler and Humphries] are not going to start panicking yet, as this is just week two.

“If it goes on to week three, week four, then people start thinking, start talking and questioning where they are in the league.
“I think the next few weeks are going to be really interesting as to how the table starts to look.”
Price took the evening, and he said: “I started off [the night] really slow. I was really edgy, obviously after losing the first game last week, and you want to get off with a good start.
“I was really edgy first game. I thought I played a decent second game. Jonny [Clayton] pinched a couple of legs, so fair play to him. I played well in the final as well.”
