Lloyds Banking Group will close 95 branches across the UK between May 2026 and March 2027, affecting customers of Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland
A major British bank is preparing to further reduce its branch network, with 95 locations set to close. Lloyds Banking Group has announced plans to shut down an additional 95 branches across the UK, impacting customers of Lloyds Bank, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.
The group revealed today that 53 Lloyds branches, 31 Halifax sites and 11 Bank of Scotland sites are earmarked for closure. These closures are slated to occur between May 2026 and March 2027.
Lloyds is currently implementing previously announced plans which will result in the closure of 49 sites by October. This follows the group’s announcement last January that it would close 136 locations by March 2026.
Once all the previously announced closures have been carried out, the banking group will be left with 610 branches, reports the Mirror.
