The Daily Star’s chief tipster Jason Heavey reckons a pair of in-form mares will both follow up recent wins at Chepstow on Friday
PRINCESS KERI (3.10, Nap) can be the queen of Chepstow by winning the fairplaybet.co.uk Bet 10 Get 10 Mares’ Handicap Hurdle over an extended 2m7f at the Monmouthshire course.
The six-year-old chase winner has been transformed since returning to hurdles this season.
Evan William’s mare would have landed a hat-trick at Fakenham last month had she not unseated Ned Fox on the run-in, but then romped home by 17 lengths at Hereford eight days ago.
She’s up 14lb for that success, but should have more in the locker for another victory with Ben Jones now in the saddle.
Point winner DELTA BLUES BELLE (4.55 nb) showed a dramatic upturn in form when stepped up in trip at Huntingdon eight days ago, winning on the bridle by a cosy length. The six-year-old still looks well-in despite a 7lb penalty and can follow up for Dan Skelton.
At Kelso, Irish point winner BIG ZOUK (4.10, trb) was a fair hurdler but chasing looks his game having won well on his debut over the bigger obstacles at Ayr 31 days ago.
He will undoubtedly improve further with a test of stamina, so a 6lb rise is incidental.
