CNN Host’s Gobsmacked Reaction To Pam Bondi’s Meltdown Says It All: ‘Just … Wow’

CNN host Erin Burnett only needed a few words — and some facial expressions — to sum up the secondhand embarrassment many experienced watching Attorney General Pam Bondi’s congressional crash-out.

On Wednesday, Bondi appeared before the House Judiciary Committee for questioning over the Justice Department’s shady release of the Jeffrey Epstein files — which includes its latest batch that exposes victims’ information and compromises their safety.

Instead of taking any accountability for her department, Bondi opted to deflect in the form of a full-blown meltdown.

During Wednesday’s episode of “OutFront,” CNN reporter Paula Reid noted to Burnett that she’s covered these kinds of hearings for “over a decade” and has “never seen anything like that,” referring to Bondi’s behavior.

“I mean … just incredible to watch all of that,” Burnett said of Bondi, shaking her head in disbelief.

“As you said, 10 years of covering it, and just … wow,” Burnett continued, seemingly at a loss for words as she lowered her head. “Sometimes there just aren’t words for the things we’re seeing these days.”

Ahead of Burnett’s stunned remarks, “OutFront” aired a montage of key clips from Bondi’s hearing — which mostly featured unhinged outbursts she hurled at Democratic lawmakers. At one point, Bondi lashed out at Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) by calling him a “washed-up, loser lawyer.”

She also snapped at Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) after he suggested she lied under oath.

“Don’t you ever accuse me of a crime!” Bondi yelled in response.

During the hearing, Lieu asked Bondi if President Donald Trump had ever attended a party with Epstein “with underaged girls.” Bondi responded by calling the question “ridiculous” and that “there is no evidence that Donald Trump has committed a crime.”

Lieu took issue with Bondi’s allegation and cited a witness statement by a man who said he drove a limo for Trump and called the FBI in 2020. He reported that he was told by a woman that Trump and Epstein had raped her. It is unclear whether the tip was ever followed up on, but Lieu suggested it never had been and demanded that the DOJ interview this witness “immediately.”
