Our Yorkshire Farm fans have been told to ‘get their hankies ready’ after Amanda Owen confirmed that the final episode of Our Farm Next Door will air next week. 

The reality star, 51, explained that it will document a loss in the family and really ‘tugs on the heartstrings’. 

Since 2018, the Owen family have been giving fans an insight into the trials and tribulations of running their farm on the Yorkshire Dales.

This began with Our Yorkshire Farm and was followed up by Our Farm Next Door, which followed their journey renovating Anty John’s farmhouse next to their Ravenseat home. 

Amanda wrote on Instagram: ‘I think there’s one more episode next Monday and I think this is- the next one coming is the one that’s going to really tug on the heartstrings because if I remember rightly, it’s about Chalky.’

Chalky was the family’s beloved pet dog who sadly passed away at the end of last year.

News of the dog’s death was shared by Amanda on Instagram last year when she revealed that the terrier was ‘fading’.

She wrote at the time: ‘Chalky has had her time and what a great life she has had but now she’s struggling. She’s very weak, she’s very tired and she keeps falling over. She’s not in any pain or anything.’

Elsewhere in the post, the farmer turned reality TV star thanked fans for their support over the years.

They were quick to share their well-wishes in response, with many admitting that they will miss Our Yorkshire Farm once it’s off-air. 

Fans praised: ‘Love watching this programme. I’m going to miss it when it ends.’; 

‘Best programme on TV right now, always look forward to it, sad that next week will be the last one, best get my hankies ready. Hopefully won’t have to wait too long for the next instalments.’;

‘Enjoy the programme so much, wish it would go on always.’

They present him with a birthday surprise as his ex-wife Amanda, 51, looks on lovingly.

Reacting to the packaging, Clive said: ‘It’s lovely, lovely. Somebody who’s an expert tied this parcel. Haven’t they? You can tell.’

He then exclaimed after opening it: ‘Oh my goodness. It’s a coat, and it’s another one of those motorbike coats. I once had a motorbike coat, and it was the best coat I’ve ever had.’

The proud dad went on to joke: ‘I know that out that door now there’s a Harley-Davidson, isn’t there?’

Violet went on to tell the camera that she thought her dad ‘really liked’ his gift. 

Clive and Amanda have been widely praised on social media for raising wonderful children 

Clemmie said: ‘I was just really, really happy because dad is very hardworking, so he deserves some time just spent with him.’ 

As if all that wasn’t already sweet enough, the children presented their dad with one final gift – a fossil that had had the phrase ‘I love you, Dad’ engraved into it.

Following the release of the heartwarming scene on social media, fans were quick to admit that it left them in tears.

One wrote: ‘Awwww nearly made me cry because them kids love him so much.’

Others praised: ‘Those children are amazing. They are so lovely, and just simple things make them happy. We should all be like this, just enjoying life at its best.’;

‘Those children melt my heart! Just so beautiful and fantastic to see them enjoying the simple things in life that mean the most!’;
