A Florida man’s wild-eyed, toothless mugshot has stunned social media after he was arrested for allegedly brandishing a gun in a dramatic road rage incident— he now faces seven felony charges
You won’t believe this mugshot. A man’s wild-eyed stare and gummy smile has sparked astonishment.
Blackie Alvarez was arrested in a dramatic road-rage incident that ended with police drawing their guns and a carload of weapons being seized. The 33-year-old was nabbed after allegedly brandishing a pistol at terrified motorists during a high-speed confrontation.
He then calmly placed his gun atop his car as police swooped in. But it’s his jaw-dropping mugshot, eyes bulging, hair wild, and a look of utter disbelief, that’s got everyone talking.
Now facing seven felony weapons charges and a sky-high bail, Alvarez’s unforgettable booking photo is drawing reactions for all the wrong reasons.
Just after 1pm on February 8, the Walton County Sheriff’s Office in Florida, USA, received an emergency call reporting that a man had pointed a gun at another driver. Officers from the City Marshal’s Office and DeFuniak Springs Police reportedly quickly tracked down the suspect vehicle.
The driver, Blackie Alvarez, from Bonifay, got out of the car, pulled a black handgun from his waistband, and placed it on the roof, Holmes County Advertiser reported. Police also found two sets of metal knuckle-dusters in his pockets.
Investigators reportedly said the victims were driving when Alvarez, driving a white Ford Explorer, began speeding and sounding his horn at them. The victims told officers that Alvarez overtook them, stopped abruptly in front of their car, got out, and pointed a firearm at them.
Alvarez reportedly refused to speak with police. He has been charged with two felony counts of false imprisonment, two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, one felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of unlawful carry of a concealed weapon, and driving without a licence.
Officers also discovered Alvarez had an outstanding warrant in Bay County for failure to pay child support. He was given a bond of $235,000 (£186,000) and remains in custody at the time of this report.
His spectacular mugshot subsequently ignited heated reactions, as an Instagram user commented: “Bro was just mething around!” A person wrote: “Throw him in Arkham and don’t let him out!!!!”
A commentator shared: “He should’ve pointed a dentist to his mouth.”
An additional person joked: “I ain’t beefing with no one who’s missing this much teeth.” A separate individual chimed in: “I would be less afraid of a gun then I would be of this guys face”
