Quinton Brown grabbed one woman by the face as he pulled his pants down before declaring ‘I want to rape with a white girl,’ during a sex asssault rampage in Birmingham
A sexual predator assaulted a mother out with her children while exposing himself and declaring: ‘Hi girls, I want to rape with a white girl’. Quinton Brown had previously approached a group of young women and made a similar remark before the attack before moving on to a woman in a wheelchair.
The 52-year-old staggered along Colmore Row in Birmingham with his trousers and underwear round his ankles, forcing horrified witnesses to dash into a nearby restaurant for safety.
He was arrested after collapsing and informing officers his name was the ‘Milkybar Kid’. Brown, of Harlech Close, Bartley Green, initially insisted he had consumed drugs but later concocted an elaborate tale claiming he deliberately sought arrest because he feared for his wellbeing, reports Birmingham Live.
He was jailed for 10 months after pleading guilty to exposure and two counts of assault at Birmingham Crown Court. He is currently serving a sentence for an earlier offence having been recalled to prison.
The court heard officers received numerous reports about Brown on Saturday, January 17. Simon Hunka, prosecuting, stated: “One man noted this defendant approaching a group of females. He said ‘I want a white woman’ and grabbed one of them by their face.
“It was after that he pulled down his trousers.”
It was understood that incident occurred before he confronted a mother with her two children and sister near West Midlands Police’s headquarters at Lloyd House shortly before 8pm.
Mr Hunka informed the court: “All of them saw this defendant stumbling around with his trousers and underwear around his ankles, exposing his penis.
“The defendant noticed them and approached. He said ‘Hi girls, I want to rape with a white girl’. He repeated that a number of times. He then grabbed the face of one of the women, knocking her glasses on to the ground.
“The children began to cry hysterically. The family ran into Lloyd House and reported what happened.”
Brown proceeded towards Colmore Row where he ‘lashed out’ at a young woman in a wheelchair and knocked her out of it.
She described feeling ‘freaked out’ and shocked by the incident. Mr Hunka continued: “A man who worked at a restaurant on the door was looking out onto Colmore Row.
“He saw the defendant with his trousers around his ankles, shuffling along, masturbating. Members of the public tried to remove themselves from the area, some came into the restaurant.
“The defendant went to lie on a bit of street furniture and looked as though he passed out. Officers attended and arrested him.”
Brown initially identified himself as the ‘Milkybar Kid’.
When the allegations were presented to him he said ‘that’s true’ before providing his real name and date of birth. He had 16 previous convictions for 24 offences including wounding with intent, possession of a firearm, robbery and assaults.
In 2023, he was handed a suspended sentence for threatening an individual with a meat cleaver at the city centre landmark known as ‘The Ramp’.
Defence barrister Eoin Campbell informed the court that Brown, a father-of-two, grappled with his mental health after being released from prison in 2025.
Campbell explained that Brown moved into a HMO in Perry Barr, but faced threats to his safety and had his room burgled following rumours that he’d come into money due to receiving some pricey clothing.
The lawyer suggested that Brown’s actions on 17 January were an attempt to ‘get himself arrested’.
Appearing via video link from jail, Brown admitted: “I didn’t behave properly. My brain was scattered, I was scared. I’m very, very sorry.”
Judge Dean Kershaw dismissed his account of events, accepting only his initial claim – that he had taken drugs and was under the influence.
Addressing Brown, the judge said: “The reality is what you did on that day was really quite disgusting and you know it, you said so. You’re ashamed of what you did.
“These kind of things affect people for a long, long time even though for you it’s short-lived. People have to understand the effect it has on these victims.”
However, the judge recognised that this was Brown’s first sexual offence, despite his extensive criminal history. He added: “I believe your remorse is genuine. You are genuinely sorry.
“I know from the way you said that means it’s completely out of character to have done this.”
