The Daily Star takes a look at Brooklyn Beckham’s recent behaviour following his estrangement from his family, the latest economic figures and gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh
Take prat and party
Brooklyn Beckham’s outburst last month stunned the world. Or anyone who is remotely interested in showbiz, anyway.
And it’s fair to say it divided folk, too. Some were in his camp and believed all the horrible accusations he levelled at his parents David and Victoria. Others thought they were the whiny rantings of a spoilt celebrity brat.
But whatever the truth behind all the drama, there’s no doubting that Brooklyn hasn’t been very smart since. Just look at his behaviour this week. The peacocking wally was seen out and about with his billionaire’s heiress wife Nicola Peltz while flashing an eye-wateringly expensive watch (that his dad bought him!) and some vintage wines that definitely weren’t from his local offy.
His behaviour reminds us a bit of Prince Harry. You can’t moan about all the attention and glare from the spotlight when you so actively seek publicity.
Although they’re less Posh and Becks – and more Dosh and Becks!
Don’t bust the boom
Finally some good news about the economy. Inflation has eased to its lowest since March last year.
And this time there has actually been a fairly sharp fall from 3.4% in December to 3% in January.
Obviously this is incredibly welcome given the brutal cost-of-living crisis we are all still living through. But it’s by no means a get-out-of-jail-free card for Keir Starmer or Rachel Reeves.
These tentative green shoots do not make up for all the economic mismanagement of their government’s first 18 months.
There will need to be many more boosts like this for us to feel much of a difference.
