- Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on his birthday on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
- Police arrived at his home on Thursday morning (February 19) as he celebrated turning 66. At least six unmarked police cars were been seen driving into Wood Farm in Sandringham, Norfolk.
- • Searches are being carried out at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk, Thames Valley Police said.
- The arrest means the former Duke of York is the first member of the Royal Family to be arrested.
- The force previously said it was reviewing allegations that he shared sensitive information with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein while serving as the UK’s trade envoy. Emails released by the US Department of Justice appeared to show the former duke sharing reports of official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore.
