Gavin Newsom Taunts Trump With 1 Of His Favorite Things… In The Worst Possible Place

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and his press office team on Wednesday mockingly offered to name something in honor of President Donald Trump.

But as much as Trump likes slapping his name on things, he’s probably not going to appreciate this one very much.

Mimicking Trump’s bombastic all-caps style, Newsom wrote that he was considering renaming a highway rest stop in the Bay Area in honor of the president.

“DOZY DON’T FRAUD AND WASTE WILL FINALLY BE ADDRESSED,” he wrote:

Newsom, who has said he is considering a run for president in 2028, also posted a mock image of the rest stop with a shiny new sign, complete with the gold trim and lettering that Trump is known to love:

Trump has a long history of attaching his name to things, and he’s taken that to a new level during his first year back in the White House. He’s added his name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the U.S. Institute of Peace building, announced a new “Trump class” of U.S. battleships, activated a TrumpRx prescription drug portal, and promoted investment accounts for children under the name “Trump Accounts.”

He also reportedly wants his name on New York’s Penn Station and Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C.

The Florida House of Representatives this week also voted to rename Palm Beach International Airport, which is close to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, in honor of the president.
