All four members of Team USA‘s women’s curling team were left in tears after they missed out on a bronze medal to bitter rival Canada.
The team of Tabitha Peterson, Cory Thiesse, Tara Peterson and Taylor Anderson-Heide were beaten 10-7 on the penultimate day of the Winter Olympics.
And they struggled to hide their devastation as they all broke down during their post-game interview with NBC.
Defeat means Team USA only won a single piece of hardware in curling at the Games, thanks to Thiesse and partner Korey Dropkin’s silver in the mixed doubles.
Thiesse made history on Saturday, however, after setting a new record for the most ends played by a single curler in Olympics history.
More to follow.
