Gordon Ramsay said he ‘doesn’t go for that nepo baby stuff’ as he got emotional while helping daughter Tilly buy her first set of chef whites.

The celebrity chef appeared on The Graham Norton Show on Friday where he spoke about his new Netflix series, Being Gordon Ramsay.

Gordon, 59, was joined on the sofa by Charli xcx, actors Benicio del Toro and Jennifer Garner while Foo Fighters gave a performance.

As the group watched one scene from his show, where Gordon is seen helping Tilly pick out her first chef whites, he shared his opinions on the ‘nepo baby’ branding.

Gushing over Tilly’s cheffing skills, Gordon appeared to get choked up as he recalled how she went off to cookery school in Cork before returning to London to work with him – but insisted: ‘I always say, I’m not a big fan of that Nepo stuff.’

Ahead of showing the clip, Graham said: ‘There are some very sweet moments with you as a dad. And we’ve got a clip. This is you with Tilly and Tilly is off to presumably… she’s in catering school now.’

Gordon replied: ‘Just finished. Yeah, she didn’t want to work in any my restaurants, sadly. So she went off to Ballymaloe [in County Cork].

‘Yeah, she spent an amazing time there to train to come back to the fold.’

Graham then showed the clip of Tilly getting her first chef whites in the documentary after completing her cookery course.

Gordon was seen getting emotional as Tilly tried on the chef whites and he showed her how to button them up.

‘Let me take a picture,’ proud dad Gordon says, before he got emotional and added: ‘I cannot believe you like that. I’ll send it to mum.

‘My little girl’s got all cheffy. Ahhh. I’ll send it to family. Incredible.’

Speaking of his pride on the red couch, Gordon said: ‘I always say, I’m not a big fan of that Nepo stuff. I always said from day one, find your passion, understand your worth, and don’t follow. Create your own individuality.

‘So from a police officer to a Royal Marine Commando to a chef and to Holly in fashion, they have found their true passion.

The comments come after Brooklyn Beckham unfollowed Gordon on social media. The chef had waded into the family feud and reminded him to ‘remember where you came from’

Gordon had provided David and Victoria’s eldest son with some of his earliest culinary training

‘And so I never wanted to put the pressure on the team with Ramsey’s kids in the restaurant and tread on eggshells and so I said “tills don’t take this wrong way, but go off and learn from somebody else at an incredible cookery school, and then come back to the fold established and try and show the old man something”.

‘Yeah, and she’s done just that.’

The chef, who had provided David and Victoria’s eldest son with some of his earliest culinary training, had waded into the family feud.

Brooklyn blocked Gordon – a close family friend and Harper’s godfather – after he advised Brooklyn not to ‘forget where he came from’ and suggested his ‘infatuation’ with his actress wife Nicola Peltz is behind the ongoing rift.

The Beckhams and Ramsays have been friends since the early 2000s when both families relocated to the United States, where David and chef Gordon continued their respective careers in football and television

Now based in the United States with his actress wife – the daughter of billionaire businessman and investor Nelson Peltz – Brooklyn recently outlined his desire to distance himself from his family in a six page Instagram statement, filled with lurid allegations.

These include the incredible claim that Victoria hijacked his first wedding dance with Peltz and ‘danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone’ – an allegation Ramsay, who attended the wedding, has dismissed

But Gordon believes the ‘penny will soon drop’ for the influencer, with whom he maintains a strong bond, and insists both David and Victoria have been outstanding parents to Brooklyn and his three siblings.

‘Brooklyn and I have messaged a little bit, our relationship is solid. I love him – his heart is incredible,’ he told The Sun

‘But it’s hard, isn’t it, when you’re infatuated? Love is blind. It’s easy to get up on that rollercoaster, and get carried away. But it will come back.

‘I’ve seen first-hand just how good parents they are. David as a dad is just incredible. They’ve both put so much energy into their kids, and I know just how many times they’ve got Brooklyn out of the s***.

‘I think it’s going to be a matter of time before Brooklyn takes a good look at himself and understands just what his parents mean to him.’

Ramsay, himself a father of six with wife Tana, also advised the Los Angeles based influencer to ‘remember’ where he came from.

‘He’s desperate to forge his own way, and I respect that from him. It’s such a good thing to do,’ he said.

‘But remember where you came from. And honestly, one day you’re not going to have your mum and dad, and you need to understand that. That penny will drop.’

Elsewhere on the episode, Gordon spoke about the ‘pressure’ of filming with his family for the Netflix documentary

It comes after Adam Peaty’s estranged mother Caroline claimed her ‘loving and positive’ scenes had been cut amid ongoing feud (Adam pictured with his mum and dad Mark)

Elsewhere on the episode, Gordon spoke about the ‘pressure’ of filming with his family for the Netflix documentary.

The six-part show follows the TV chef as he juggles home life with his new business empire ahead of daughter Holly’s 2025 wedding to Olympian Adam Peaty.

The couple tied the knot at Bath Abbey in December amid a bitter feud which saw the swimmer’s mother Caroline, 60, disinvited and sister Bethany the only relative in attendance.

Caroline is shown briefly in the show during her son’s engagement party but has  claimed her ‘loving and positive’ speech to the couple was cut out.

Gordon said: ‘I think it’s an important insight – a 360 – into the pressure and the family time. I wanted that to come across, and I think it does beautifully’.

Adam’s cousin, Krystal Peaty took to social media on Thursday, to claim she was cut from the scene, with Caroline responding in the comments.

Taking to her Instagram, Krystal shared a picture of her TV as she watched the engagement party scene, writing: ‘I was here in person, guess I didn’t make it on Netflix for my minute of fame. How will I sleep at night?’

Adam’s mum replied to the post, and hinted she won’t be watching, asking: ‘Did they film my speech Krystal? I bet they didn’t because it was 100% full of love and positivity x.’

‘I haven’t watched it all to be honest but no I haven’t see you and you look blurred out xx,’ Krystal added.

It was previously revealed how Caroline would still feature in the new series despite formally requesting to be edited out from the final cut amid the fall out with her son, with her briefly shown at the bash.

The party was filmed for Being Gordon Ramsay months before Adam was first reported to have fallen out with his family.

Following the show’s release, Caroline took to social media on Wednesday to share a post which said: ‘Parents often focus on growth, correction and outcomes. Grandparents focus on being.

‘No grades, no pressure, no fixing. A study showed children with active grandparents show higher emotional security scores by age 10. When a child is loved without expectation, self-worth becomes internal, not negotiated.’
