Sarah Ferguson has stayed out of the public as news of her love for Jeffrey Epstein has surfaced, but now she has been reportedly seen stopping into a bougie wellness retreat
Sarah Ferguson has been seen for the first time in weeks as she checked herself into what is believed to be the world’s most expensive wellness clinic. It comes as she has managed to dodge the public eye amid growing scandal over her ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The ex-Duchess, 66, is believed to have fled the UK in order to avoid the media glare in the fallout of the release of the Epstein files. We previously told Fergie allegedly begging the convicted paedophile to “just marry” her in emails published by the US government.
It comes as her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He has since been released under police investigation.
According to the Mirror, the last time that Sarah was publicly seen was at her granddaughter Athena’s christening at St James’ Palace on December 12. Since then, there has been no sign of Sarah at all, until now.
The Daily Mail reported that speculation over where Sarah had gone to has ended after she was seen sheltering at a Swiss wellness retreat. Sources within the centre said that she has been held up there for over a month, paying a whopping £13,000 a day for the pleasure.
“Sarah left for Zurich just after Christmas, and stayed until the end of January,” the insider at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic said. “She always feels at home at Paracelsus, and knows she’ll get love and attention there, as well as expert health treatment when she’s feeling at her most vulnerable.”
Located close to Switzerland’s biggest city Zurich, the clinic boasts a variety of different recovery programmes, each lasting around one month. Their clientele is traditionally ultra-rich patients, as they have access to 15 medical experts to treat their every need.
In an extra dash of snootiness, patients are also able to enjoy a chauffeur to and from the clinic, as well as a private chef ready to make whatever food they desire. It comes as another pal said that Sarah was “absolutely crushed” when the emails between her and convicted paedophile Jeffrey surfaced.
“Sarah has built up a strong relationship with Paracelsus, so it was the obvious place for her to get away from everything,” the source explained. It comes as Andrew continues to receive the brunt of public scrutiny over his links with the disgraced financier.
Questions had already been raised over Andrew’s reluctance to testify regarding what he knew about Epstein’s actions, although he has always strenuously denied all claims being made against him. However, this culminated in Andrew being arrested on his 66th birthday on Thursday.
Thames Valley Police released the disgraced ex-prince later that day under police investigation, but probes remain ongoing. Andrew is now currently staying at his new home on the Sandringham estate whilst investigations take place.
