Arsenal have moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League table as they proved their bottle against Spurs thanks to Mikel Arteta’s genius decision
Arsenal had to prove their bottle on Sunday evening, after dropping points in their last two Premier League games.
A Manchester City-shaped-object had appeared ion their rear view mirror and there was the tricky task of Tottenham in the north London derby for Mikel Arteta and his men to navigate. However, rather than wilting, the Gunners proved their steel as they outclassed their bitter rivals.
There was only really one team ever in the game, Spurs were reduced to moments as Arsenal kept them at arms length without ever having to shift into top gear.

Eberechi Eze’s first season in north London hasn’t quite lived up to his sky high expectations – but he was once again at his brilliant best against Spurs.
Arteta could have very well dropped him for today, he was poor against Wolves, however he was trusted as part of the front three and got the party started at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Arsenal were rocking and rolling, and it looked like they could have been a number of goals up before Eze found the back of the net.

However, less than 30 seconds after scoring, Spurs were level. It is starting to emerge as a worrying trend for Arsenal – switching off at the restart.
It was Eze that dragged Arsenal back into the game – he looked dangerous every time he got the ball, leaving Spurs fans furious after he turned them down in the summer.
Viktor Gyokeres grabbed Arsenal’s second, and they fortune not to find themselves level again after Gabriel performed a dive that Tom Daly might well have been proud to produce.
Spurs were starting to push for a goal, but Eze put the game beyond any doubt as Arsenal expertly ran down the clock. Eze has scored six times in the Premier League this season, five against Spurs.
There was still time for Gyokeres to net his brace, as Arsenal moved back five points clear at the top of the table.
That clash with City is starting to appear on the horizon – and a win there might, just might, see the Premier League title find itself in north London for the first time in over two decades.
