The pizza parlour which Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor used as an alibi when accused of being pictured with with an alleged sex trafficking victim has been flooded with fake reviews after his arrest.

Pizza Express in Woking was thrust into the global media glare in 2019 when Andrew gave a car crash BBC interview in which he said he was the high street chain with his daughter when the alleged picture with Virginia Giuffre was taken.

After his arrest on Thursday, the eatery was inundated with reviews from online jokers, including one who quipped: “Not really a review, but was just wondering do you deliver to prison? Asking for a friend who loves your establishment. Thanks.”

Asked how he could remember visiting the pizzeria 18 years on, Andrew told Emily Maitlis during the infamous Newsnight interview: “Going to Pizza Express in Woking is an unusual thing for me to do.”

The restaurant’s Google listing was soon flooded with fake reviews soon afterwards and as as news of his arrest on Thursday emerged, jokers flocked to the site again.

One wrote: “Fantastic place so memorable!! It’s a shame I had to cancel my appointment today something has come up. Don’t sweat I will make it again soon.”

Another said: “I’ve never been but my friend Andrew absolutely loves this establishment. Profuse sweating is an issue for him but thanks to your world class air conditioning he didn’t sweat at all.”

Someone else wrote: “I was around 8 yrs old when I visited Pizza Express Woking. My memory of it, despite it being almost 25 years ago is so vivid, mainly because of the grotesque man sat on the table in front of us.

“I recall him ordering the ‘sloppy Giuseppe’ and demanding more and more napkins as he continued to sweat while shoving it down. Great pizza but would recommend attending with a responsible adult if you are a child or teen, purely for emotional support!”

Another joker said: “Ask about the Alibi pizza. It isn’t titled anymore on the menu. It’s a special pizza. No dough, but if you like a cheesy topping served with oodles of salty sauce followed by humbug ice cream, you’ll feel like it’s a royal banquet.”

One simply joked: “Even royalty eats here and it’s very affordable.”

Andrew has always strenuously denied any wrongdoing in his links to paedophile Epstein, who died in prison awaiting sex trafficking charges. He was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office and released under investigation.
