A lip reader has claimed Barron Trump made a cryptic comment to Ivanka during their father’s lengthy State of the Union address that covered, briefly, the war in Ukraine
A lip reader has noticed Donald Trump’s youngest son Barron Trump making a cryptic four-word comment to his half sister Ivanka Trump during their father’s State of the Union address.
The US president gave a lengthy address to Congress overnight, delivered in his trademark extravagant tone. In attendance were his family, including wife Melania, daughter Ivanka and son Barron, who listened to the almost-two hour long speech.
It was the first time since his father’s inauguration that 19-year-old Barron had made a public appearance. During the event, he was seen talking to his half-sister and lip reader Jeremy Freeman has now picked up on one intriguing detail.
According to Jeremy, Ivanka turned to Barron and asked: “What are you doing on…?” but was unable to pick up the last word. In response, somewhat mysteriously, Barron replied: “I’m not sure, I couldn’t be a***d.”
What Ivanka was asking Barron about is not known, but it follows increased interest in Barron after he attended his first campaign rally in the build up to the 2024 US Election.
What’s more, there has even been speculation that Trump’s youngest son could follow his father into politics and attempt to build a career of his own.
In the past, Barron has been credited with helping his father win over younger male voters in the build up to the last election. A report has suggested that, so great was Barron’s influence, that Trump asked his campaign team to talk things over with him when it came to podcast appearances.
According to a 3,800-word report by Time journalist Eric Cortellessa, Trump’s campaign chair Susie Wiles asked campaign advisor Alex Bruesewitz to create a list of podcasts Trump senior could be interviewed on.
When presented with the list, the report claims that Trump replied: “Have you talked this over with Barron?” After Mr Bruesewitz said he hadn’t, Trump is said to have replied: “Call Barron and see what he thinks and let me know.”
Barron’s appearance at his father’s State of the Union address came on the same day as the fourth anniversary of the start of the Russia-Ukraine War, something Trump senior claimed he would end in a day.
Although the USA has plenty of pressing policy matters to deal with, it was hoped that Trump would spend some more time discussing the conflict that now continues into its fifth year.
However, analysis of the speech, the longest State of the Union address in history, shows that Trump spent less than 30 seconds on the war before moving on, reports the Mirror US.
After talking about ending eight wars, Trump commented: “We’re working very hard to end the ninth war. The killing and slaughter between Russia and Ukraine, where 25,000 soldiers are dying each and every month.
“A war which would have never happened if I were president. As president, I will make peace wherever I can, but I will not hesitate to confront threats to America.”
