Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have come under fire for allegedly stoking turmoil within the Royal Family – with one television pundit branding them “grifters and fakes”.

The scathing attack comes as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in the Middle East for a two-day visit to Jordan, a trip that has sparked concern in Westminster and elsewhere given its timing – and the escalating crisis engulfing the monarchy at home. Whilst the pair maintain the visit focuses on humanitarian efforts, detractors argue the optics couldn’t be more damaging.

Speaking on his own internet programme, Outspoken, pundit Dan Wootton launched a blistering assault on the Sussexes, claiming they had deliberately thrust themselves into a precarious global situation whilst the Royal Family faces unparalleled pressure. “All they had to do was shut up. Shut up and do nothing,” he declared.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were probably going to get their best news cycle in years.” Instead, he alleged, the pair had opted to serve their own agenda, reports the Express.

“We know deep down they want to bring down the British Royal Family,” Wootton stated, before labelling them “grifters and fakes” for undertaking what he characterised as a “new fake Royal tour”.

In the caption, he wrote: “All they had to do was SHUT UP for a couple of weeks. Instead, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have embarked on a deranged fake royal tour of the Middle East with corrupted WHO boss Dr Tedros. Proving exactly why King Charles must strip them of their titles too.”

The couple landed in Jordan earlier this week, travelling from their residence in Southern California. They visited a refugee camp and hospital as part of a journey arranged at the request of World Health Organization director-general Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

However, Wootton was highly critical of both the visit and those who facilitated it. “The bizarre thing about Doctor Tedros is that he is the head of the World Health Organisation,” he commented.

“He’s a wrong-un a total wrong-un, completely corrupted, totally globalist – and the fact that they have had to rely on him to make this visit happen says a huge amount.”

He also suggested that the choice of Jordan held deeper implications. “Jordan is also one of the happy places for Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales,” he noted.

“Meghan is just cosplaying Diana here in a cringe and creepy way.” Wootton believes the message from the Sussexes’ camp was unmistakable. “The clear sort of messaging coming from Montecito is: ‘We’re the future. We’re now going to be the real Royals,'” he stated.

“But actually all of us are looking at this like, what the hell – you have just involved yourself in the biggest geopolitical dispute in the world without a second thought for the way this impacts the British monarchy.”

Harry and Meghan have maintained they notified Buckingham Palace of their intentions prior to making the journey. That assertion has also sparked incredulity.

“God. These two are completely delusional,” Wootton remarked. “They have no idea what they’re doing here.”

The trip arrives mere days following Harry’s uncle, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, being detained on suspicion of misconduct in public office – a development that has thrust the Royal Family into one of its most damaging crises in decades.
