EXCLUSIVE: The pressure has ramped up on Arsenal in the Premier League after recently dropping points against Brentford and Wolves and question marks are being raised about Mikel Arteta again
Cracks have started to appear in Arsenal’s Premier League title pursuit after dropping points against Brentford and Wolves in recent weeks to allow Manchester City firmly back into the picture.
Mikel Arteta’s side did ease those concerns by putting north London rivals Tottenham to the sword in a convincing 4-1 win last weekend, but Pep Guardiola’s side have not relented and show no signs of doing so after winning their previous three games and take on Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday.
Arsenal will be watching with keen interest before they take on Chelsea at the Emirates on Sunday in a weekend that could prove pivotal in the title race if the Gunners throw away even more points.

After losing the initiative in the last three title races, twice to City and once to Liverpool, the pressure is cranked up on Arteta and his players to finish the job they have been unable to.
“Arsenal have been in this situation now three or four years, haven’t they?” Sinclair said. “Does the ghost start to haunt them again? Do they start to doubt themselves again? Who knows?

“The other flip side of the coin is the experience of what’s happened to them before. Are they better equipped to deal with it?
“Only time can answer that question really, if that happens, but I think Man City are going to push them right to the wire and ask some real questions of them psychologically between now and the end of the season anyway, regardless of the result on Sunday.
“We’ll see what that brings, but you know, ultimately if Arsenal want to win the league, they’ve got to do it themselves.
“They can’t be relying on Man City to drop points and stuff like that because they’ve been there and done it and Pep’s been around this sort of situation so many times before and come out the right side of the line with it, he’ll be very confident.”
