EXCLUSIVE: Taran Ojla has been running Britain’s biggest chain of strip clubs since taking over the business from his father in 2021. He explained how he maintains order in his venues
A strip club owner has opened up on the wildest scenes he has witnessed working in an industry synonymous with stag dos. Taran Ojla has been running Wiggle’s four venues along England’s south coast since he took over the business from his father in 2021.
Speaking exclusively to the Daily Star, he recounted how he had to rescue one reveller after his shift.
“We once had a stag group in, a fantastic group of guys, and we all had a great time hosting them. “They left at around 4am, and by the time I’d cashed up and finished, it was about 6am.
“As I was walking to my car, I could hear someone crying in the park, so I went over to see what was happening. It was then I realised it was the stag from earlier, his friends had stripped him naked and tied him to the fence in the park.
“I really felt for the guy as everyone in the neighbouring nightclub had probably walked past him. I went back to the club and got some bolt cutters and some lost property clothing for him and a bottle of water.”
He added: “I’m not sure what happened to him after that. If he’s reading this, please drop me a message, I’ve always wondered!”
When asked how he maintains order in his strip clubs, Taran said: “Strip clubs in the UK are very heavily regulated and they are mandated to have CCTV systems, codes of conduct and security staff at all times.
“Customers are generally very well behaved as our clubs are designed to discourage misbehaviour and it just isn’t the environment for it. Think about an upscale restaurant, people don’t really misbehave there as they don’t want to cause a scene. It’s the same with our industry.”
Taran’s favourite part of his job is the “buzz” in the club on a good night, which can feel like “winning big at a casino”. He said: “I love the social aspect, no night is ever the same, we meet so many interesting characters and create so many memorable nights.
“I think the best thing about running the clubs is the buzz, when the club is busy, the dancers are earning big money and the customers are having a great time. There is no better feeling than seeing everyone enjoy themselves.
He added: “It’s like winning big at the casino, you get a boost of dopamine when people are spending big!”
