The British Embassy in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued an urgent warning for Brits in the area as they have been urged “move indoors and remain inside”.
The statement on X, warned people to head inside and stay away from windows from 13:00 local time, which was 9:00am UK time, until further notice.
Warnings comes after the UAE, including the holiday hotspot of Dubai, has been targeted by Iran’s retaliations with drone and missiles being fired towards them. However, most attacks have been stopped by the UAE’s air defences who are on “high alert”.
In a post on social media, The British Embassy in the UAE said: “You should stay indoors or go to the nearest safe building.

The embassy also told Brits to follow the instructions of the local authorities in the UAE, as guidance can be different depending on which part of the emirate you are in.
