It was billed as one of the most in-demand influencer parties of the season. But when Romeo Beckham’s current girlfriend Kim Turnbull and his ex Mia Regan ended up at the same bash on Thursday night, the event quickly gained an extra layer of intrigue.
Viral US drinks brand Poppi was hosting a party in Shoreditch, east London, to celebrate its UK launch.
Mia and Kim spent hours at the same event – but both studiously avoided speaking to each other.
After all, it’s never easy to meet your boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend – or to meet your ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend.
Model and DJ Kim, 24, had stepped behind the decks at 9,000 sq ft ‘event space’ 83 Rivington Street, wearing a brown leather jacket and matching trousers, playing tracks for some of the internet’s most famous personalities.
Love Island host Maya Jama was among the biggest names spotted at the party, her arrival generating immediate attention from other guests. Tolami Benson – model, ‘creative’ and fiancee to footballer Bukayo Saka – was also in attendance, alongside runway favourite Leomie Anderson.
Sophia Tuxford and Cinzia Baylis-Zullo from The Girls Bathroom podcast also made an appearance, as did TikTok star Lola Clark. Actor Isan Elba, daughter of British acting legend Idris, was another guest.

Kim did a DJ set at the east London venue… it became one of the focal points of the night
Kim’s DJ set quickly became one of the focal points of the night as guests crowded around her booth. Phones came out as influencers filmed snippets of the music and the packed dance floor.
While Kim kept her head down over the decks, Mia, 23, spent much of the night on the dance floor firmly socialising with her own group. Wearing dark jeans, heels and a sheer tank top, she looked effortlessly cool as other influencers queued up to speak to her.
Other guests clocked the awkward dynamic.
‘Both women were acting very professional, as they were of course there for work,’ said one of the event’s attendees. ‘But it was obvious that it was very awkward. They run in similar work circles, so it was bound to happen at one point or another.
‘It was obvious this can’t be easy for either of them. Mia was clearly very friendly and knew a lot of people there. Everyone was wanting to talk to her and she seemed in happy spirits.’
Once her set wrapped up, Kim didn’t linger, skipping the late-night mingling, drinks and snacks that many guests stayed for. It’s thought she might have had an early morning flight to catch today to Paris for Victoria Beckham’s fashion show.
Mia, however, remained at the party and continued chatting and dancing with friends long after Kim had gone.
Romeo, 23, began dating model and influencer Mia in 2019 when they were both teenagers. They quickly became one of Gen Z’s most-followed celebrity relationships, frequently appearing together on social media and at fashion events.
Mia, who goes by the nickname Mimi Moocher online, also grew close to the Beckham family, spending time with Romeo’s parents and siblings. However, the pair split for good in February 2024, with suggestions the break-up had been amicable, with both focusing on their careers.

Romeo then ‘hard launched’ his relationship with Kim in late 2024. They split for a period last year, then rekindled their romance – and have been going strong ever since.
Kim, whose dad Alex is a respected DJ who founded hip-hop label Ronin Records, has increasingly been seen within Romeo’s inner circle.
Reports have suggested she has been welcomed by the Beckham family, with Victoria inviting her on family holidays and to fashion events.
Beyond the unexpected guest crossover, the Poppi launch itself had been designed as a full-scale influencer spectacle. For two nights only, 83 Rivington Street has been transformed into ‘Club Poppi’, a neon-lit playground celebrating the American drinks brand’s arrival in the UK.
The food and drink offering saw unlimited cocktails, chicken burgers, pizza and sweet treats from a frozen yoghurt machine.
After Kim’s set, rising pop star Skye Newman gave a great performance, offering the crowd an exclusive first listen to her upcoming single Walk. Later in the evening, DJ Skyla Tylaa kept the energy high.
Poppi has also collaborated with celebrities including Paris Hilton, Charli XCX and Post Malone, while being featured at major cultural events such as the Super Bowl.
In the early hours of Friday morning, guests eventually drifted out after hours of dancing, drinks and content creation.
But long after the final cocktail had been poured, many attendees were still talking about that oh-so awkward glance.
Because in a room full of influencers, DJs and neon soda cans, the silent stand-off between Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend and his ex ended up being one of the night’s most memorable moments.
