Donald Trump has vowed to rain down “extremely accurate” missiles on the world’s most dangerous drug lords after boasting he can take them out right in their own living rooms.

The terrifying ultimatum comes just weeks after the bloody downfall of Nemesio ‘El Mencho’ Oseguera Cervantes. The notorious Jalisco New Generation Cartel boss was hunted down and killed in a massive military operation in Mexico last month.

Speaking at the “Shield of the Americas” summit in Florida on Saturday, the US President signalled a brutal shift in foreign policy, ditching traditional policing for military might.

Addressing a crowd of right-wing allies, including Argentina’s Javier Milei and El Salvador’s Nayib Bukele, Trump offered his partners the ultimate hardware to deal with “bloodthirsty” gangsters.

Trump said: “We’ll use missiles. If you want us to use a missile, they’re extremely accurate. Pew, right into the living room. That’s the end of that cartel person.”

Mocking world leaders who suggest a softer approach to the cartels, Trump said: “A lot of countries don’t want to do that. They say, ‘Oh, I’d rather not have that. I believe they could be spoken to.’ I don’t think so.”

Since returning to the White House in January 2025, Trump’s administration has already launched more than 40 aerial strikes on vessels suspected of drug running, reportedly killing around 150 people in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean.

While international law experts argue that drug trafficking is a crime for the police, Trump insists the gangs have become too powerful to be handled by local cops.

He said: “Many of the cartels have developed sophisticated military operations, highly sophisticated in some cases. They say they’re more powerful than the military in the country. We can’t have that.”

He described the criminal networks as a “cancer” spreading through the Western Hemisphere, acting as a “dangerous gateway for foreign adversaries.”

Trump saved his sharpest words for America’s neighbour, naming Mexico as the “epicentre” of the violence.

While Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has already deployed 10,000 troops to the border and pledged 100,000 for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, Trump says it’s time to “knock the hell out of them.”

He said: “The Mexican cartels are fuelling and orchestrating much of the bloodshed and chaos in this hemisphere. We have to eradicate them…they’re taking over their country.”

The President warned that “transnational gangs” have seized control of entire territories, and his new “Americas Counter-Cartel Coalition” is the only way to stop the rot.

Trump added: “The only way to defeat these enemies is by unleashing the power of our militaries. You have to use your military. You can’t fight these people with [police]…they threaten your police. They scare your police.”
