Catherine, Princess of Wales, showcased her signature elegance at the Commonwealth Day Service.

Kate opted for a bespoke navy coat dress by Catherine Walker, teamed with a wide-brimmed hat by Sean Barrett.

She completed the look with a series of recycled accessories: the Strathberry Multrees chain wallet, suede 105 pumps from Gianvito Rossi, a five-strand pearl necklace by Susan Caplan, and Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain pearl drop earrings.

Kate’s tailored coat dress featured wide notch lapels, a double-breasted front and elegant pleated side panels. The distinctive design is unmistakably Catherine Walker – and you won’t find anything quite like it on the high street.

That said, the tailored silhouette and pleated skirt are details you can easily replicate.

I’ve scoured the shops for dresses that capture a similar effect – perfect for upcoming special occasions, from weddings to garden parties. You’ll also find a couple of sharply tailored coats for good measure.

And of course, you can complete the look with Kate’s exact clutch and heels for a regal finish.
