Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein embrace in large gold statue copying iconic Titanic scene

A statue has been unveiled at a US mall depicting Donald Trump and dead sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein recreating an iconic scene from the film Titanic. The satirical sculpture depicts Trump in the Leonardo DiCaprio role behind his old pal Epstein, whose arms are stretched wide.

Trump is seen holding Epstein’s hands in a way that invokes the iconic scene where the film’s main characters Jack and Rose stand together at the front of the ship in a loving embrace.

A plaque at the base of the statue reads: “The tragic love story between Jack and Rose was built on luxurious travel, raucous parties and secret nude sketches.”

The statue, named King of the World in reference to a quote from the classic film scene, was unveiled at the National Mall near the US Capitol building in Washington, DC, on Tuesday.

Tourists were seen snapping pictures of the statue, which is located in front of a row of banners displaying photos of Trump and Epstein with the phrase “Make America Safe Again.”

It is the latest piece of artwork installed at the spot by the anonymous group Secret Handshake. A previous statue depicting the connection between the president and the paedophile was removed last year.

The group told local media the latest monument will stay up until March 13, adding: “Because 2026 has been a banner year for President Trump.

“Meaning.. he’s added giant banners of his face to federal buildings all across DC. We want to help him on his mission by tossing a few of our own in the mix.”

Trump and Epstein were pals in the 1990s and 2000s and were photographed together on a number of occasions, including at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago and at the Plaza Hotel in New York City.

Epstein told author Michael Wolffe he was Trump’s “closest friend” in 2017, two years before his death in jail, which was ruled a suicide. And documents released by US lawmakers last year showed a woman’s naked silhouette apparently drawn by Trump for Epstein.

The lewd note was in a 238-page pamphlet which was compiled in 2003 by Epstein’s then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell to mark his 50th birthday and was signed “Donald” in what appears to be the US President’s handwriting.

It states the two men had “certain things in common” and reads in the style of a script and ends with Trump wishing Epstein: “May every day be another wonderful secret.”

Trump claims he fell out with Epstein in the early 2000s after the financier poached employees from his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Epstein was first criminally indicted in 2006 in Florida on a state felony charge of solicitation of prostitution from a minor. He died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.

The US President has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing with convicted paedophile Epstein, has not been accused of any crimes by law enforcement and has never been identified as the subject of any investigation.
