Donald Trump fans have been left in awe after a resurfaced video offered an intimate glimpse into his family life.
The President, 79, is often spotted at various star-studded events, rubbing shoulders with the world’s top politicians.
But what is he up to when out of the public eye? An old clip that has been circulating online reveals that his life outside the spotlight is somewhat relatively normal.
The video, which was originally taken in 2014 by his wife, Melania Trump, showed him driving a Rolls-Royce with his young son Barron in the passenger seat.
The family are heard blasting the song Blank Space by Taylor Swift as they enjoyed a nighttime outing together.
It recently went viral on X, and social media users were surprised to see the now-President in such a casual setting: hanging out with his wife and son like any normal dad would.
In particular, many admitted that witnessing him behind the wheel was jarring, considering he is now always ferried around by a personal driver.
‘Seeing Donald drive is like seeing Frank Sinatra cutting the lawn,’ one user joked.

‘Woah, he’s driving,’ someone else simply added.
‘Cool to see Trump driving! And now Barron would barely fit in the side seat,’ joked another fan, in reference to the now 19-year-old who stands at 6ft 9in.
‘Just a typical American family,’ read a fourth post.
The video was originally shared by Melania on Facebook in 2014, with her writing in the caption at the time: ‘Fun night with my two boys.’
It first went viral in 2017 after Trump told Reuters in an interview that the one thing he missed since becoming President was driving.
‘I like to drive,’ he said. ‘I can’t drive anymore.’
Many questioned how much driving experience the real estate mogul had, so according to Business Insider, Axios reporter Jonathan Swan did some ‘digging’ and ‘unearthed’ the video.
It is certainly interesting that Trump was listening to Swift in the video, considering the politician and Cruel Summer songstress have a tumultuous relationship.

Trump started as a fan – back in 2012, when it was revealed she would be co-hosting the Grammys, he praised the news on X, adding: ‘Taylor is terrific.’
However, their alliance ended in 2018 when Swift publicly supported Tennessee Democrat Phil Bredesen.
He told reporters afterwards: ‘Let’s say that I like Taylor’s music about 25 percent less now, OK?’
Then, in September 2024, Swift publicly endorsed Kamala Harris ahead of the election, and Trump responded by posting a furious message on Truth Social that simply read: ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!’
He also lashed out at her during the Super Bowl in February 2025, writing: ‘The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!’
And in May of that year, he stated in an unprovoked social media message: ‘Has anyone noticed that, since I said “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” she’s no longer “HOT?”‘
However, when he was asked about Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce in August 2025, he sent the couple a positive message.
‘I wish them a lot of luck,’ he said. ‘I think he’s a great player and a great guy, and I think she’s a terrific person, so I wish them a lot of luck.’
