Seven international locations with missiles that may attain UK – together with two shocking allies

The Daily Star has investigated which countries could actually strike the UK if World War 3 broke out, with some surprising results.
Using Google’s AI model Gemini, we discovered seven nations have the technical capability to hit Britain with missiles from their own territory or naval fleets.
Russia tops the list with its massive nuclear arsenal, including ICBMs like the RS-28 Sarmat that can strike from deep within Russian territory. China follows with rapidly modernising weapons like the DF-41 missile with a 15,000km range.
Surprisingly, several allies also made the list including the United States, France and Israel, though they remain close military partners with Britain.
North Korea’s expanding missile programme now puts the UK “comfortably within their technical striking range” with weapons like the Hwasong-20 ICBM, while India’s Agni-V can reach London from New Delhi.
Gemini said: “Based on current, verified military capabilities, seven countries possess the technical range to strike the UK from their own territory or via their naval fleets.”
However, Iran and Pakistan – despite having significant missile programmes – cannot currently reach the UK, with their weapons falling well short of the required 4,000km+ range needed to hit Britain.
