A social media influencer collapsed and died during a livestream after experiencing a sudden, severe headache.

Wang Zha Jie, who was known to her followers as Sister Wang Zha, was in the middle of selling women’s fashion online when she was struck down by the agonising pain.

The 39-year-old momentarily moved away from the camera to try and gather herself. Her assistant brought her some water and attempted to soothe her with a massage.

Wang then came back to the livestream, but she continued to look distressed, constantly clutching the back of her head with a look of agony etched on her face.

She told viewers: “I can’t take it anymore, I can’t take it anymore. Call the emergency services quickly. I’m going to faint.”

The online shopping presenter, who hailed from Shanxi province in China, died shortly afterwards.

She had no pulse when paramedics arrived, having apparently missed the crucial window for medical intervention on Monday.

Just 10 minutes had elapsed from when her headache first struck to her tragic death.

Wang was bringing up her five year old daughter as a single mum.

To supplement her earnings, she allegedly put in marathon hours broadcasting shopping deals and gaining a substantial audience.
