Sir David Beckham needs to his “pick up his manhood” and spend time listening to his estranged son Brooklyn, his ex-pal has claimed.

Mel B’s ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar, who was close to Goldenballs when both their wives were in the Spice Girls, has urged Becks to put his pride to one side.

Former dancer Jimmy says he needs forget about his status and start focusing on being a father and go to the US to talk to Brooklyn, 27, to find out why he is feeling like he is.

Jimmy said: “David needs to understand this, we also learn from our kids. This thing that has happened is a cry for help.

“What he should do is dump his knighthood, this fakeness with this knighthood, and go and pick up your manhood. That is what he needs to do.

“Go to your son, go and stay in his neighbourhood, rent an apartment for a month if you have to, go and talk to him.

“Sit him down, him and his wife, and sit him and talk and listen to him, listen to what he says.

“Leave Vicky at home, then go home and say to Vicky, ‘This is how it’s going to be.’ That’s it. But for that you need to be a man. That is what he needs right now. Not go and blame, ‘Oh, kids are like that.’ You need to go and get your manhood and go and get your son.”

The Beckham family has been at war since David and Victoria’s oldest son Brooklyn, 26, released his bombshell statement on Instagram in January.

It accused his parents of hating and bullying his wife Nicola Peltz and meddling in his affairs for his entire life.

So far, Victoria and David have stayed silent on Brooklyn’s outburst and allegations – which include accusations of his mother ruining his wedding by dancing inappropriately with him.

However the former England captain did say after that “children are allowed to make mistakes” on social media when speaking about his work with UNICEF and using his own social media following for good.

In his Instagram statement, Brooklyn said his parents had been controlling narratives in the press about his family and tried to “ruin” his relationship with his wife Nicola.

He wrote: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.

“For my entire life, my parents have controlled narratives in the press about our family. The performative social media posts, family events and inauthentic relationships have been a fixture of the life I was born into.

“Recently, I have seen with my own eyes the lengths that they’ll go through to place countless lies in the media, mostly at the expense of innocent people, to preserve their own facade. But I believe the truth always comes out.”
