Fasten your seatbelts, there’s a new budget airline in town. And this one is already causing turbulence on TikTok.

Rayaan Air, the self-proclaimed “Skies of Somalia”, has landed, and no this isn’t a typo. Taking to its official TikTok page @rayaanairlines, the airline presented two of its flight attendants greeting TikTok viewers from one of the Rayaan Air planes as they showcased their blue uniform.

Naturally, people were quick to point out the resemblance with another well-known low-cost airline. A TikTok user commented: “Does ryanair know you just copy pasted?”

A person wrote: “Ryanair from temu.” Someone else mocked: “Landing is not guaranteed.”

A viewer penned: “Ryanair: boeing 737 Rayaan air: fokker 50.” A separate individual chimed in: “Feel like there might be a naming clash with your airline and another.”

According to the airline’s description, Rayaan Air is a “Local Domestic Airline Based in Somalia” and the “Proud partner of @Maandeeq Ai”. It further stated in the TikTok video’s description: “Rayaan Air, The Skies Of Somalia has officially arrived in Somalia.
