Three people are in custody this morning as we continue to investigate after a man’s body was found in a park Coventry.
A member of the public alerted West Midlands Police to Cash’s Park off Daimler Road after the body of a man, was discovered at 5pm on Friday (March 13). Those arrested include a man and woman in their 40s and a man in his 20s.
All three were arrested overnight in Blackpool on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender as our investigation continues.
The body of a man, believed to be aged between 40 and 50, was found in a wheelie bin, but work to identify the man is still ongoing.

West Midlands Police are continuing with enquiries are ongoing to formally identify the man and establish how he died.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole from our Major Crime Unit said: “After beginning our investigation this weekend, we have made a number of arrests overnight.
“All of these people remain in custody at this time while we continue to build a picture of what might have happened. Thank you to everyone who has been in touch providing information so far.

“We are continuing to appeal to anyone who might know more about what happened and whether they can help our investigation.”
