Timothee Chalamet is brutally SNUBBED for Michael B Jordan after humiliating Oscars evening the place he was the butt of each joke… and his response mentioned all of it

Timothee Chalamet suffered a career blow as he failed to win Best Actor at the 2026 Oscars despite being an awards season frontrunner.

The 30-year-old earned the nomination for his performance in Josh Safdie’s ping-pong drama film Marty Supreme.

This year’s Best Actor category was stacked. Chalamet was up against Michael B. Jordan (Sinners), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Ethan Hawke (Blue Moon), and Wagner Moura (The Secret Agent).

But it was Jordan who came out on top and earned the honor over Chalamet at the 2026 ceremony.

Chalamet looked visibly disappointed after 2025 Best Actor winner Adrien Brody read out Jordan’s name instead of his.

He offered Jordan polite applause and appeared to mouth ‘yay’ as the stunned Sinners star leaned over to hug his mother Donna before heading to the stage.

Jordan’s win comes after a humiliating night for Chalamet who was made a laughing stock by host Conan O’Brien over his recent ‘opera and ballet’ jab drama.

While Chalamet dominated the early season with wins at the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards, the momentum shifted after Jordan won at the Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG Awards.

Adding to the tension, the ceremony arrived on the heels of Chalamet’s controversial comments about how ‘no one cares’ about ballet or opera, which sparked a wave of backlash from the arts community.

Based on the life of professional ping-pong player Marty Reisman, Safdie’s Marty Supreme stars Chalamet as a table tennis prodigy in 1950s New York whose ambition to become world champion jeopardizes his personal relationships.
