The Kenwood MultiPro OneTouch comes with A LOT of stuff

Sometimes you look around your kitchen and think ‘all of these gizmos and gadgets are great, but what if I had a bit of tech that did literally EVERYTHING?’

Well, friends, after spending some time with Kenwood’s MultiPro OneTouch food processor/blender/alien spaceship, I can finally answer that question.

As someone clinging to the idea of being on a health kick, I was looking for an upgrade to my trusty, but now ancient NutriBullet; just something capable of making some quick and easy juices and soups.

What I got was that and so much more. But firstly, a word of caution. While a sensational bit of kit, the Kenwood MultiPro OneTouch is not for the faint-hearted.

Upon unboxing, you’ll be presented with approximately 87 different attachments, blades, inserts and miscellaneous bits of plastic and, while they all serve a purpose, it isn’t always immediately clear what that purpose is.

It can be slightly overwhelming, not only examining everything but also working out exactly where all the various add-ons will live when they’re not in use.

As you’d expect, it’s also pretty bulky. We’re lucky to have enough surface space on the kitchen counters to be able to have it permanently set up but it’s not necessarily a gadget you could whip out at the drop of a hat.

The trade-off however, is absolutely worth it. It’s one of the most intuitive pieces of technology I’ve ever owned, capable of making boring and laborious tasks incredibly simple.

With a single button, you can weigh ingredients, mix, knead dough, purée, chop, grate, slice, blend, juice, whisk, crush ice and even get it to clean itself.

My girlfriend is a keen baker and it has totally transformed her routine. Instead of having to get the scales out, weigh everything, transfer it between various bowls and then mix it all up, everything can be done in one place. She can now use the Kenwood’s in-built digital scales to weigh all the ingredients and save on washing up.

And as the person responsible for most of the cooking in the house, it’s saved me hours too. With two different grating and slicing disks, veg prep is now a doddle.

Ultimately, the Kenwood MultiPro OneTouch is a gadget that rewards your time. If you make the effort to get to grips with the multiple attachments and moving parts, you’ll quickly find exactly how to get the best out of it.
