As the weather warms up, lots of people will be getting back outdoors for running or cycling, or even getting back into the gym. Shoppers considering buying a health tracker to monitor their daily activities can find a significant deal on a Google device at Amazon.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 (45 mm) typically costs £399 but is currently reduced by £100 to £299, with the offer ending on April 8. The device was released in October 2025, making it the newest model.

It has a battery life of up to 40 hours, and also has a quick-charge feature which gives users 15-hours of battery in 15 minutes. The Google Pixel Watch 4 is compatible with Pixel and Android phones (works with most phones running on Android 11.0 or newer).

In terms of its health-tracking features, it has 40 exercise modes, a multi-path heart rate sensor, and dual-frequency GPS for tracking hiking and running routes. The sensors can also monitor a wearer’s sleep patterns, stress levels and skin temperature.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 can be worn underwater to depths of up to 50 metres. It’s designed with a durable dome-glassed display and has a built-in AI assistant, Gemini.

The smartwatch also has Loss of Pulse Detection capabilities. In such cases, it can prompt a call to emergency services for potentially lifesaving help. Similarly, if you’re in a situation where you feel unsafe, the Pixel Watch 4 can alert trusted contacts.

Alternatively, Garmin is another popular smartwatch brand. This vívoactive 5 model is £209.99 from H Samuel and is equipped with a heart rate monitor, a sleep coach, and tracks distance on runs and hikes.

Elsewhere, Argos offers lots of budget options, including a £40 Sekonda Fitness Tracker. This device is equipped with a step counter, distance counter, and calorie counter, and can also monitor sleep patterns and a person’s heart rate.

Google’s Pixel Watch 4 has an overall customer satisfaction rating of 4.6 on Amazon, based on almost 500 reviews. One user commented: “Simple connection and fits well. Comfortable for prolonged use, and the quality is good too. Tracks well and well valued.”

Another shopper left a detailed review, reading: “The design of this smartwatch is exceptional, not only aesthetically pleasing but also functionally advanced. In comparison to Samsung and Apple Watches, the Google Pixel Watch 4 delivers comparable fitness and health information capabilities.

“Its bright and clear display, along with its impressive battery life and rapid charging capabilities, ensures a comfortable wear experience. Furthermore, the watch boasts a comprehensive range of features and offers excellent value for money, making it a top-tier smartwatch choice. easy to set up and use.”

However, another user was not as pleased, noting disappointment with the screen. They explained: “Great watch. You can shut off the AI stuff without affecting key functionality. The screen already has a few scratches from general use, so it’s not as robust as a sapphire screen would be. This loses it a star; at that price point, it should be standard. Full Fitbit integration as a big positive.”

A fourth buyer said: “This is a fantastic smartwatch; it looks really good, but functionality-wise, it is where it shines. It does all the basics really well, taking calls, showing notifications, but it shines when used for exercise tracking and offers loads of detail. Setting it up was very easy, and it works seamlessly with my Pixel 10.”
