‘These shoes are great. They’re so comfy and padded, I’m able to walk for hours in them without any wear on my feet. Great fit, great feel, great traction and grip.’
Sportswear retailer Under Armour is a favourite among trainer fans and thanks to a half price Amazon deal, shoppers are able to nab a pair of trainers from the brand ‘without breaking the bank’. Labelled as a ‘bestseller’ on Amazon, it’s not hard to see why when the Charged Surge 4 Men’s Running Shoe are down to £25 from £50.
This limited time deal spans several sizes of the Charged Surge trainers, including size 9.5, 10 and 11. These trainers have an understated monochrome design, meaning they can likely be worn to work as well as days off, featuring the Under Armour signature logo and a cushioned midsole.
Designed as a running or gym shoe, that’s not their sole purpose as a number of Amazon shoppers have purchased them for everyday wear, too. One such person left a review that says: “I picked up these Under Armour UA Charged Surge 4 mainly for casual use – walking, quick trips to the shop, and driving – rather than running, but first impressions are very solid.”

They went on to add: “Comfort-wise, they’re spot on straight out of the box. No break-in needed at all. The cushioning is really soft – almost like walking on a cloud – and I’ve had no rubbing or pressure points, even wearing them for a few hours at a time.”
Following this, someone else loved the way they looked and the value for money. The customer commented: “They look good, which matters to me. You get that Under Armour style without paying premium prices, so they’re a nice middle ground if you care about brands but don’t want to overspend.”
Half price Under Armour trainers
The Under Armour trainers have hundreds of five star reviews.
Another trainer brand footwear fans might be interested in saving money off is New Balance. Part of the online sale, the WRPD Runner Shoes have been discounted from £140 to £70. Wearers say they have everything they ‘could possibly need’, from comfort to the look and ‘elevation of height’.
The high street is another great place to find reasonably priced trainers. At Marks and Spencer, these Suede Lace-Up Trainers would pair perfectly with a spring or summer outfit, and they won’t set shoppers back more than £49.
Back to Amazon, over 12,000 people have left reviews for the Under Armour Charged Surge 4 Men’s Running Shoe. Overall, they have been rated 4.4 out of five.
Some deductions of stars may come from confusion over sizing. Someone noted: “I found the size to be much larger than my usual size, so I would recommend ordering a smaller size than usual.”
Another person gave advice about sizing, writing: “Fit is good too. I normally wear a size 11 but went for an 11.5, and they feel just right. I’ve got fairly narrow feet and still have plenty of space, so they may come up slightly wider, or it could just be the half size up – either way, very comfortable.”
And, this five star consumer had nothing but positive things to say, sharing: “I’ve been using these mainly for the gym and honestly can’t fault them for the price I paid (got them half price, which makes them even better value). First thing I noticed was the comfort — they’re lightweight with a good amount of cushioning, so they feel great for general workouts and walking between sets. I’ve used them for weights and light cardio and they’ve held up really well so far.
