‘I tipped a 50-1 winner and fancy a 7-1 shot on Saturday’ – Jason Heavey’s racing suggestions

Daily Star tipster Jason Heavey is in red-hot form and picked a 50-1 winner on Thursday at Southwell in Silken Bay. Today he has singled out a course specialist at Musselburgh

WISE EAGLE (3.05) can swoop late to continue his love affair with Musselburgh on Saturday.

Adam Nicol’s pride and joy has won five times at the track, including Virgin Bet Daily Price Boost Queen’s Cup three years ago.

He won that off a rating of 98 and probably ran a better race in the renewal 12 months ago when a close fourth to Kihavah off a mark of 103.

The handicapper has relented and given the nine-year-old every chance of reclaiming the crown.

He is running off just 95 and comes into the race off a terrific third in the Morebattle Hurdle.

The excellent Billy Garritty gets the leg-up and at 7-1 Wise Eagle is worth a punt.

Dan Skelton’s Gambino has attracted strong support while Oisin Murphy is a notable booking for Dancingwithmyself.

Ralph Beckett’s Moon Over Miami remains dangerously unexposed while I think Almuhit could outrun his odds (14-1) and will be fit from hurdling.

Old boy GENOIS (3.20, nb) can roll back the years at Haydock.

The 10-year-old runs in the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans’ Chase Final in the colours of JP McManus – who will be mob-handed in next Saturday’s Grand National.

Jonjo and A J O’Neill’s raider is in great form with two wins in his last three races and sits on a likeable handicap mark near the bottom of the weights.

Victories at Wetherby and Exeter were achieved fairly narrowly so there is still some upside in his rating.

He beat Outlaw Peter at Exeter and Paul Nicholls’ horse is among the dangers.

Jonjo and AJ can also be on target with WE’RE RED AND BLUE (2.12) in the Pertemps Challenger Two Mile Series Final.

The six-year-old was an excellent third to Mondo Man in the Imperial Cup and today’s contest is not as deep. Off a 2lb higher ledge, he should be involved at the business end.

Dan Skelton sends a strong team to Haydock and BLUE CARPET (2.46) is one of his better chances.

The six-year-old has thrived since being stepped up to three miles and looks a worthy favourite (7-2) in the Pertemps Challenge Stayers Hurdle Series Final where he is preferred to Walden and Jakar Du Moulin. ROYAL DEESIDE (3.55) has taken really well to fences and is the pick in the JCB Fastrac Handicap Chase.

The six-year-old returned to chasing after a break with a solid third at Carlisle and that should have sharpened him up.

At Musselburgh COMIC HERO (1.25) looks a likely type in the Virgin Bet A Good Bet Royal Mile Handicap.

Andrew Balding’s three-year-old gave 10lb and a beating to subsequent winner Espanita at Kempton Park. AL ARBEED (1.55) ran a solid race at Kempton last weekend despite pulling hard. He was only three lengths behind the winner and is back out quickly for the in-form Richard Hannon yard in the Livescore Bet Silver Arrow Handicap.

AL QAREEM (2.30) is as tough as teak and should win the Virgin Bet Goliath Cup while the Virgin Bet Scottish Sprint Cup is an altogether more complex puzzle.

The pin has fallen on DEMOCRACY DILEMMA (3.42) who has the benefit of a recent run and is lightning quick.
