A British travel firm which specialised in trips to Walt Disney World has shut down, leaving holidaymakers in the lurch. Glasgow-based Simply Florida Travel Ltd was dissolved on January 6, Companies House records show.

All flights and holiday packages booked through the company have reportedly been cancelled after the firm stopped trading and the website shut down.

The travel agency offered holiday packages to destinations including Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Miami and a range of cruises. It applied to be struck off the register of firms on October 13 last year, records show.

Its Facebook page boasted: “Simply Florida Travel is not just another travel agent, we are here to build your dream trip.

“Whether it is 2 weeks in one hotel and visiting the parks or multiple hotels and different experiences, we can help you with it all.”

It was officially dissolved on January 6 and ceased trading as an Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing scheme-protected provider on January 20, the Express reports. And the company’s website has been taken offline.

ATOL confirmed that Simply Florida Travel Ltd operated as a franchise under the Travel Trust Association (TTA). Customers with booked holidays have been urged to contact the TTA for any refunds.

A spokesperson from The Travel Network Group said: “Simply Florida Travel joined TTA in March 2024.

“During their membership, they made 12 bookings, all of which were fulfilled prior to the business closing.

“There are no outstanding bookings, no refunds due, no claims process required, and no customers who need to be contacted.
