An EFL club have confirmed they have been hit by a medical incident ahead of their kick-off on Easter Monday.
Reading were gearing up to host Lincoln City in League One when an air ambulance landed on the pitch at the Select Car Leasing Stadium. And a statement from the Royals read: “We are currently assisting with a medical incident at the stadium, with the air ambulance in attendance.
“There is no impact on today’s fixture. Further updates will be provided in due course.” The game is set to kick-off at 3pm, with Lincoln looking to boost their chances of playing Championship football next season.

Lincoln are top of the table, ten points clear of second-place Cardiff City and are on the verge of being crowned as champions with six games still to play.
Cardiff can cut the gap down to seven if they win their game in hand, but would require a minor miracle if they are to get their hands on the League One trophy – and might instead be looking at consolidating their automatic promotion spot.
The Bluebirds have a sizeable gap over third-place Bolton Wanderers. However, Monday could present them with an opportunity if Lincoln drop points on the road to Reading.
The Royals need all three points as they push for the play-offs. The Royals are sixth in the table, one point ahead of Stevenage but have played two more games.
“Thoughts are with person/people involved,” one fan replied. As another said: “Hope whatever is going on is nothing serious and whoever is involved has a speedy recovery.”
“Hope who ever it is the person is OK, ” a third replied. And another added: “Hoping for a speedy recovery.”
