B&Q has a string of deals and discounts for spring, including an offer on Lick paints
The arrival of spring often feels like a reset, with brighter and warmer days. Many people use the season to refresh their homes, and thanks to a B&Q sale, it doesn’t have to cost the earth.
The DIY giant is presently offering substantial discounts for a limited period, featuring various deals including a 3-for-2 promotional offer on Lick paints. Until 20th April, shoppers looking to inject some colour can get one tin free with the purchase of two tins – including popular shades such as Beige 02, Pink 05 and Green 18 matt emulsion varieties.
For those curious about why Lick’s paints are so coveted, they feature premium, cutting-edge formulations that deliver distinctive, pigment-rich hues and an enduring finish. Whether revitalising a weary-looking bedroom, sprucing up a dull living room or even preparing a nursery for a new baby’s arrival, the offer is an excellent opportunity for households to snap up their preferred colours, reports the Mirror.

Those looking for alternatives might consider Dunelm, where there’s currently up to 20% off various shades in the retailer’s own-brand Matt Emulsion Paint. This beautiful sage green is ideal for spring and has been reduced from £20 to £16 for a 2.5 litre tin.
For those with a bit more cash to splash, Farrow and Ball’s range is worth a look. Its chic Green Smoke paint is currently retailing at £59 for 2.5L. It’s described as a ‘smoky green blue’ shade, exuding a ‘calm and serene’ vibe.
Turning back to B&Q’s sale, it’s not just paint pots on sale. There’s also an offer on the Evolution 1500W 240V 210mm Corded Sliding mitre saw R210SMS for £115, reduced from £157, as well as the Ryobi ONE+ 18V Li-ion Brushed Cordless Combi drill (2 x 1.5Ah) R18PD3-215SK, now £80, was £95.
Other paint brands are also included in B&Q’s 3-for-2 offer, including Ronseal’s Diamond hard Clear Satin Skirting Wood varnish (£18), and the Ultimate Protection Country Oak Matt Decking Wood stain 2.5L (£35). However, the Lick paint deal is likely to be a hit with home renovators.
With numerous five-star reviews for its coveted colour range, one customer said of Lick’s Green 18 Matt Emulsion paint: “Lovely warm green colour, paint has nice surface. Needed only two coats and went on smoothly. Room transformed, a large, high-ceilinged room now feels cosier and the colour suits the period property. We will use the room more now as it looks inviting.”
Another customer, who reviewed the Beige 02 Lick paint, wrote: “Easy to apply and dries fast. Great coverage goes really far, colour looks great.” Meanwhile, another raved about the Pink 05 Matt Emulsion, saying: “Smashed it again….the best paint we have EVER used!”
It’s worth mentioning that one shopper left a review on the Lick Green 09 shade, stating they found the coverage to be “uneven”.
An additional customer of the Pink 05 Matt Emulsion said: “An absolute dream. Colour swatches were accurate and the paint itself went on so smooth. I didn’t use half as much as I thought I’d need – two coats and it’s perfect.”
